Salt Creek

24"x18" acrylic on canvas

About a month ago in early October. My family and I went canoeing on the Salt Creek in Fullersburg woods. The leaves on the trees were starting to change and the breeze flowing through our hair was crisp and clean. Fall was in the air. As I sat in the back of the canoe paddling and steering, I couldnt help but look at my family and feel so proud and thankful. I thought to myself "it doesn't  get any better than this".

  2. Nature wakes our feelings up, and enjoy the company of our family is a rare gift in this recent and vertiginous times. I like how you've managed this picture, because you've shown the slow but ephemere time of autumn reflected in the dephts of the river. (Forgive my poor english)

    See you soon!

  7. Love the great stillness you have captured here. I can almost here the paddle dipping into the water and the lap of ripples against the side.
