I had fun painting this one. This time I stuck with the larger brushes. Half of the fun was setting up the set. I am very happy with the result.

I went to the fruit and veggie market by my house and had a lot of fun picking out the props. I love browsing thru that store. Lots of cool looking fruits and veggies caught my eye so I picked a few for some upcoming paintings. Stay tuned.

  1. I see a LOT of talent here on this blog, Brad! I really enjoy the loose feeling in this one. The first thing I thought when saw it... you may not agree but it hit me... I thought of El Greco, possibly because of the range and use of blacks, grays and highlights of white, but also the fluidity and grace of your painterly expression. You have a really good eye for form and detail; I look forward to watching you keep going here! I wish I were so prolific!

  2. Camille,

Thank You so much for the comments!!! You have no idea how much it means to me. El Greco? I can see that. Now you have got me wanting to do more research on El Greco and his style.

  6. This is such a fun painting--very lively! Big brushes are always a good way to go. The colors pop well in this one.
