Fullersburg Woods

I temporarily pointed the painting into a frame to show what the finished piece would look like.
I felt that this classical gold frame would be nice. Still need to varnish it.

10"x8" acrylic on masonite

Added more depth and color

Blocked in the overall composition

I was in the mood to paint a landscape. This is another painting of Fullersburg woods where my family and I went canoeing last fall. A beautiful place.

  1. This is a beautiful landscape! ..It looks like the perfect place to escape and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.! and it looks gorgeous in this frame, Brad!

  2. Thank you Hilda! It is a lovely place. I am looking forward to painting more plein air this year. Fullersburg is on my list of places to visit for sure.

  3. This is gorgeous Brad, lovely composition and execution!

  5. Thank you Margarita! Yes, I enjoy the classical frames too. Some paintings just look great in them, others don't.
